Overview

A messy comms room is a slow-motion outage. Lost labels, looped patch leads, undocumented changes, and patch panels stuffed beyond capacity all conspire to make every fault take three times as long to diagnose. A comms-room tidy resets the room to a documented, maintainable baseline and gives your IT team back the time they were losing to "what does this cable do?".

Our standard tidy delivers: a full audit of every patch, port, and trunk; labelled patch panels and faceplates to a scheme that matches your asset register; cable management with dressed cabling, vertical and horizontal organisers, and Velcro-tied bundles (no plastic ties); a fresh patching plan with hot-swappable colour-coded leads; and as-built documentation including a port matrix, a rack elevation diagram, and labelled photos. We can do this overnight or over a weekend so live services aren't disrupted.

For larger rooms or data-centre cages, we add formal asset tagging, ITIL-compatible CMDB-ready output, and integration with your DCIM tooling. If the room has hit cabinet capacity we'll plan a phased re-rack into new cabinets with diversity in mind. The end state is a room you're happy to walk an auditor through.
